Location
Villa de Merlo is located in the northwest corner of the province of San Luis, on the western slope of Sierra de Comechingones, natural boundary with the province of Cordova. The city was founded in 1797 by order of the Marquis of Sobremonte. Its mountainous terrain between small crystalline streams and forests, gives it a unique beauty. The center of the village has a height ranging from 850 m 1280 to m.s.n.m. in the upper, which provides, from any sector of the city, an extraordinary view of the Valley of conc.
